The Rolex Day-Date is one of the most iconic and beautiful watches in the Rolex catalog. The Rolex Day-Date earned the nickname "President" after it had been rumored that President a Dwight Eisenhower began wearing one.  In reality, Eisenhower wore a Rolex 18K yellow gold Oyster Perpetual Datejust which Rolex gifted to him in 1950. However the nickname President stuck and is quite fitting for the Day-Date as Presidents Kennedy, Johnson, Ford, Reagan, Nixon and Roosevelt, all wore the Rolex Day-Date model.  It has always been a symbol of status and luxury as the Rolex Day-Date is only made in precious metals most commonly 18k yellow gold and possesses both the day and date complications within the movement. 

Rolex finds the perfect balance between luxury and functionality, and this 1991 Rolex Day-Date ref. 18239 really sets itself apart in solid 18k white gold. In 1988 Rolex released the cal. 3155 also known as the double "quick-set" which allows the quick setting of the day and date complications by rotating clockwise/counterclockwise while in position 2 making the setting of the watch quick and easy. We favor white gold watches as they carry the weight of solid 18k gold with a subtle statement and an extra level of refinement, unlike the sometimes flashy yellow gold counterparts! Not that there is anything wrong with being flashy!

CASE & BRACELET

The unpolished 18k white gold case is in exceptional condition, displaying crisp lugs that retain strong factory finishing and only light signs of use. The sharp 18k white gold fluted bezel is unpolished as well and shows almost no signs of use. The case retains its original white gold "two-dot" crown. The case back retains its original green Rolex sticker. The 18k white gold Rolex President style bracelet is in stunning unpolished condition with almost no stretch from use and retains 23 links.

DIAL & HANDS

The original silver diamond marker dial is in immaculate condition and has achieved a beautiful warm patina throughout. The diamond markers have been inspected with U.V. light for clarity and remain original. The tritium lume plots are bright white and remain full and round, showing no degradation under U.V. light inspection. The original tritium hands match the dial lume perfectly and exhibit no lume loss or degradation when inspected under U.V. light.

None. The watch was recently serviced and is running at COSC spec, backed by a 1-year warranty of accurate timekeeping.
