An incredibly Mid Century Modern signet ring set with a cushion cut no-heat Burma ruby, certified at 5.59 carats. The quality of the mount, likely created as a gents ring originally, reflects the quality of the stone: it's platinum throughout and particularly heavy at 24.6g. The stone looks amazing in both daylight and iridescent light, with a rich and intense blood-red colour. Dating from the 1950s, with French hallmarks to the outer band.
